Why can't I find recent-year data for a specific nonprofit?

IRS data takes time to catch up
Nonprofits file their 990s at different times, and late filings and amendments can arrive for 12–18 months after an organization's year-end. Until the IRS releases the data, a recent year may appear unusually low or not appear at all. The data fills in automatically as it becomes available.
Other reasons data may be missing
- The organization isn't required to file. Some small organizations and certain organization types don't file a 990, or file a short form with limited detail. In these cases, the profile may say "No information available."
- No filing has been processed yet. Newer organizations, or those with a recent filing still in the IRS pipeline, may not have data on record yet.
Why numbers change
If a figure looks different from what you remember, the organization may have amended a past filing. We show the amendment-corrected version, so our numbers may differ from those in an older copy of the 990.
